Fleece is a soft, napped fabric made mostly of polyester, created as a light, warm alternative to wool. It insulates well, weighs almost nothing and dries fast.

Properties and Types
Fleece weight is typically 180–340 GSM. Types include microfleece (light), polar fleece (classic) and double-sided fleece. An anti-pill finish reduces bobbling.
- Warmth: excellent insulation at low weight.
- Care: dries fast, does not wrinkle or shrink.
- Comfort: soft, hypoallergenic, pleasant on the skin.
- Cons: builds static, may pill without a finish.
Where It Is Used
Sweaters and jumpers, children's and sportswear, jacket linings, blankets, hats and scarves, loungewear. Fleece is a staple of the winter range.
Tip: for outerwear choose anti-pill fleece of 280 GSM or higher — it is warmer and more durable.
